I like alternative stuff like Thrice and Billy Talent and that ranges to some more heavy stuff like All That Remains and then going even further into black metal like Cradle of Filth.

Still I find it funny how I can listen to all of this and still have THE BEATLES as one of my favorite bands (Thrice being my favorite)

Anybody have any reccomendations to more black metal similar to Cradle of Filth? Other than Children of Bodom

I can understand how The Beatles is still one of your favourite bands. They were a major pioneering band and many of their musical advances are still used in modern music.

The Beatles influence is everywhere, the same with Queen for a lot of rock bands. It's sort of like a painting I guess, which is something most people can relate more than musical composition - you can improve it and change around elements of the piece but the original will always have a sort of charm and character to it. Even decades on the somewhat simple style of The Beatles still has a definite place in the musical world ^^.

Anyways, as a sillier contribution to the thread, these guys are my favourite musicians right now [Link]. The guy playing the bass line usually plays violin/mandolin. Here's a video of the two of them doing a guitar/violin duet [Link].

Black Metal?

Listen to Dimmu Borgir or Divine Heresy to a lesser extent.

Also I wouldn't say CoB is Black metal.
